The Award of Citizen Activity is granted by Finnish Central Association for Mental Health , and it was applied for the puppet theater Taiga-Matto in 2006, by the Finnish Federation for Social Welfare and Health.

According to Finnish Federation for Social Welfare and Health, the puppet theater Taiga-Matto does excellent work with children and young people. Taiga-Matto deals with "sore things of life in a fine and plain-spoken way."
